clicky clack clickety
the evening had been an especially long, hard, and busy day at work. and i was looking forward to going home and sleeping. i was to get off work a half an hour before the normal time, and it was jsut about taht time. i was about to take my garbage to the back and then leave. but while walking through the clothing department, i noticed this pretty little pink bicycle sitting all by her lonesome. now when i say little bicycle, i mean it was one of those one size bigger than a tricycle type of bicycle that had the little training wheels on it.. So me, being a self respected adult did like any sane person would do. I sat down, and started pedaling, which is a pretty amazing feat, for in order to pedal i had to stick my knees waaaaaay out to the side so not to hit them on the handle bars.. so i rode my bike a short little stint back to the fitting roomm which is where my odd objects that i find during the day normally end up. But as i was there, Karen and Oksanna cajoled me on, and persuaded me that there wasnt really any room left for it.
So me and my pretty little bike that had those pretty little beads on the tires, taht make the sound of clicky clack clickety, went clicky clack clickety all the way to the front of the store to the customer service desk, which is the secondary place for my random items i find to be droped off. throughout my trip i was greeted with quite a few smiles, a few laughs, and quite afew stares. as i reached the front of hte store i was greeted by an exstatic boy saying "i cant beilieve you road that, ive never seen anyone do that before", which i was pretty baffeled by, as who wouldnt ride it?? soo anyways the exstatic boy convinced me that i should ride to the other end of the store to put it away. Acctually he wanted me to give it to him so that he coudl ride it, but there was no way i would let him defile my little pink bike..
so i started peddling again, when all of a sudden a lady customer stopped me and said in a very serious voice "You shouldnt be doing that.." and i was a little confused but at the same time i could understand someone thinking that i might break the bike or something, but i wouldnt never do anything to hurt the little pink bike. then she continued "its not safe with out a helmet"... so i laughed and continued my bicycle treck, zoooooming along the isles with great speed, having the sound of my little pink bicycle tires follow me all the way. clicky clack clickety.
once arriving at her little home, i told the boy whos job it was to put away my little pink bicycle to take good care of her, and after saying a tearful goodbye i went back to taking out my garbage.. i soon left work, but now i had a lighter heart, and i felt a little bit happier than before, knowing that i had brought a little joy to a few people in the world, and that someday a little girl in the world might enjoy that bicycle just as much as i did.
